Weekend Chic

Friyayyyy, am I right?! This was one of those weeks, you guys. I like to call them Emu weeks, because I literally feel like one of those unfortunate birds... flapping my wings at the rate of 225 flaps/minute to realize that my feet never left the ground. :| Sooo busy but soooo unproductive. Ya feel me? I intend to make up for wasted time by being very efficient this weekend and crossing everything off of my to-do list i.e. lots of ice cream, picnics in the sunshine and dreamy sunsets by the lake. More productive than I need to be, I know. ;) If you happen to be on the same grind, you'll have no problem spotting me in the crowds, 'cos I'll be wearing this pastel blouse + printed shorts combo all weekend long.

There's no fabric that feels as luxurious as silk, so when I saw this Naveda Couture pastel ivory-yellow butterfly back silk blouse, it was love at first sight! For a fun date night look, I paired it with abstract printed high waist-ed shorts. These shorts were brought all the way from the markets of Thailand for me by a friend, and I love the fun colors in it that allows for myriad options with outfits and accessories. I picked a bright turquoise blue, but I'm already planning to wear the shorts with a pink blouse for lunch with the girls or with a black crop top when running around town in the heat.

Thank you for reading and have a fabulous weekend!
XO Sushmitha
