How does the week go, Chicas? Can you believe that it's the first week of August?! Don't think I did a very good job welcoming August this past weekend.. Several most definitely starred out type words were said about September and I'm pretty sure August had some unpleasant ear closing to do right at the front door. But the scary snowy (now near) future is another day's problem, for these sunshine bathed pictures from a recent weekend await!

Nothing feels like summer here in Buffalo than a day trip to our charming little neighborhood town of East Aurora. We did Sunday brunch for a good three hours on the blissful patio of Elm Street Bakery, walked up quaint Main Street with a quick stop at my favorite consignment store and settled for a treat from Firefly Cupcakes to end the day. An easy sundress seemed perfect for the relaxed day we had planned, and this pretty paisley one with a richly embroidered bodice has to be one of my favorites in my closet. Pictures do no justice to the mirrored detailing and the intricate embroidered lattice .. I think I'm especially fond because it's so reminiscent of the prints and details I grew up wearing in India. :)
