Summertime Details

Hello, hello! This week's been off to a busy start, you guys..  if you were here with me, you'd see evidence of the same in my computer's massive struggle to cope with the countless windows and tabs I'm forcing it to keep open. I'd like to think it's all the papers and scientific journals I have ready to go when the academic in me decides to stop procrastinating that's making Mr. Laptop work hard, but I have a sneaky feeling it's because the creative-blogger-slash-greedy-prettymonger in me is binge pinning on a secret board. Oh well, such is life on a Monday evening! Let's talk about Sunday, though, because I obviously don't have a bazillion pictures below from the weekend for no reason. ;)

We've been positively obsessive this summer about getting in as much time as possible by the water, and this weekend was no different! After several weekends by the lake, we spent a lazy afternoon this past weekend by the Niagara river, walking slowly along the trails with ice cream cones in hand and wind in our hair. I can watch the blue water for hours on end, and if Kushal didn't keep a watch on the time, I'd have sat on the rocks and waved at all the boats and kayaks forever! I've been reaching out for the same light basics lately to manage the heat and humidity, and these tassel trimmed lace shorts have been a happy addition to that collection. To keep an otherwise casual look interesting, I relied on details (as always!)- subtly sexy peekaboo lace, boho fringe sandals and a noisy arm stack.

Thank you for reading and have a great week!
XO Sushmitha :)
