Rose Quartz

Everyone's well-recovered from the weekend, I hope? The absolutely beautiful weekend we had here in Buffalo has stretched into the week and, as always when the warm weather first sets in, I find myself stretched too thin between the sunlit window and my work station. In my head where I'm a caricature version of myself (who's apparently adept at botanical jargon), I'm a phototropic plant-human with my neck extending towards the sunlight at literally breakneck speed. Luckily for my real self, such mal-adaptions have not been necessary, what with blog shoots being the ideal excuse to head out in the sunshine after work! I wore this look in today's post on one such gorgeous Spring evening, when pairing my favorite Spring accessories with transitional layers seemed like the best way to enjoy the warm yet unpredictable evening weather.

Right around the time that Pantone announced 'Rose Quartz' aka blush pink as the color of the year, I ran into this cute little pastel pink sweater dress on a random trip to the consignment store and knew it belonged in my closet! It makes for the perfect canvas for pops of grey and navy, courtesy of a fun printed scarf, carryover cold weather accessories and my navy Jemma bag. Ladies in the market for a work bag- this bag is the most adult bag I own.. I'm convinced that if I keep looking, there will be more compartments to find! And how about these fishtail pigtails I tried my hand at.. yay or nay? :)

Thank you for reading and have a great week ahead!
XO Sushmitha :)
