Swinging by with a quick hello and some fresh Friyay desk-to-drinks OOTD inspo! The deconstruction and creative re-designing of the once oh-so-serious buttondown shirt has been a trend on the rise in recent seasons and like most of you working girls, I can appreciate the variety it’s brought into my weekday wardrobe. But as darling as the multitude of embroidered, embellished and ruffled shirts currently in the market are, I find that they’re still a bit too colorful for my chosen workplace of a somewhat austere medical institution. “If you can’t say it, let your clothes speak for you” takes on a different meaning when you’re wearing a lab coat all day, y’know?

I did, however, pounce on this Malus Marcoo striped shirt and fast. The shirred mismatched sleeves are so fun without being over-the-top and the zipper front adds a little mod touch that I love! I’d wear it tucked in to work, and we all know I’m not above bathroom changing into a little white distressed denim skirt for happy hour! ;)
