Embroidered Gingham Dress

Current mood: Be right back, Fall.

No layers in sight yet for us Californians, and don’t imagine me saying that in an unexcited tone. I wore this embroidered gingham dress out a few days back and it’s quite possibly the easiest dress I own for a grab-and-go scenario. No ironing necessary, no planning for underlayers required, goes with the basic black flats or white sandals lying at the top of that shoe pile… you know, the things that truly make a girl’s favorite outfit. Doesn’t hurt that it’s under $18 either!

Seeing as I was dressing for the weather and not the season, I went all the way and added in some favorite summery accessories like my adorable wicker bag, these fave retro sunnies and a lucky thrift find that I can’t stop obsessing over- my Soludos-like espadrille tie-ups that make me want to take a vacay stat!

Speaking of, I have been so impressed with the local thrift and consignment stores here in the Bay Area! It was always a hit or miss with the ones I frequented back in Buffalo, but I have quickly built what might be my best second hand sub-closet yet since moving here. I cannot wait to squeeze them into my blog/social media outfit shares soon, but in the meantime, I will say what I have said often before- go get you some awesome non-mass-produced goodness for fewer dolla dolla bills, y’all!

Thank you for reading and have a good week ahead!
XO Sushmitha :)
