Cutout Crazy

More often than not, it's only the start of Wednesday when I start to plan outfits for the weekend. I know, patience is clearly not my biggest virtue. In my defense, we usually only shoot blog outfits on the weekend so when I drift off into daydreams of pretty jewels and closet choices, I'm being atleast a little bit productive. Or so I tell myself! ;) But the prospect of a long weekend usually just puts me into overdrive, you guys. I make spreadsheets with weather contingencies despite the existence of this very helpful thing called as the weather forecast. OCD + bat**** crazy, right?! I don't know what it is about dressing up on the weekends, but it just makes the weekend a WEEKEND, you know? Aaaand I just talked your heads off to make the simple point that I'm excited about the Memorial Day long weekend. I'm most likely going to be in lab working on Memorial Day, but lipstick's admissible on holiday work days, right? ;) 

Quite fitting for Memorial Day, then, that I'm wearing white in today's look with Style M and Co. When temps are on the higher side, the romper and jumpsuit category is always one of my favorites! There are so many fun, printed ones (see the carousel below for some amazing, affordable romper options!) everywhere I turn, but I adore a classic, tailored playsuit just as much. I love how a clean, white outfit acts like a blank slate, providing countless ways to dress it up or down with the right accessories. For a sophisticated date night look, I went with pinks and purples and a sleek low ponytail.  

The cutouts and the surplice neck take this romper to a whole another level! Cutouts are all the rage this season, and the side cutout details were the perfect segue into the trend for me. :) Also got to debut my favorite new mules from Cherry Footwear with this look.. If you're looking for leg lengthening yet minimalist shoe styles to add to your collection, mules may be for you. :)
