Bows & Embellishments

It's a greet-and-go kinda day here, but isn't it always when you're back to the grind after a break? A fall getaway in Colorado was just what the doctor ordered and I have tons of fall-filled posts coming up soon to discuss our explorings in detail, but in the meantime, some late summer transition inspiration being served up!

The off-the-shoulder obsession is clearly pretty real here on the blog, except I gave this pretty top the tiniest shrug (literally ;)) to turn it into a one-shoulder piece. Frayed hems are a huge denim trend this season and my first try with this perfectly distressed white pair has me itching to test it out further.

Finally, when in doubt, add a pop of pink! This handmade woven tote was made for gloomy fall mornings.. not only does fit my laptop and other necessities pretty easily, it packs a cheery punch. :) It's my second find from Discovered.. a one stop shop for affordable ethically sourced handmade goods from all over the world that I first discussed in this post. Another handmade gold mine, this time for shoes, is Soma on Etsy. I fell in love with these rhinestone-embellished pink flats as they reminded me of 'jootis' or 'mojris'- traditional Indian footwear that's often hand-embroidered or embellished so prettily that it's every girl's desire back home to own at-least a hundred growing up! These have the additional comfort of cushioned soles.. need I say more?!

Thank you for reading and have a wonderful week ahead!
XO Sushmitha :)
