Boho Casual: La Jolla, San Diego

Although I can't claim to have seen all of San Diego, I can claim to have seen a somewhat significant part of the pretty city after having visited a few separate times, and I only seem to grow fonder of the seaside neighborhood of La Jolla each time. A good portion of my recent work trip to San Diego was spent in La Jolla at our best friend's home, having a little mini-reunion with friends flown in from nearby and driving around to neighborhood spots for some fun in the sun. My first full day before the conference began, we made the afternoon drive along gorgeous sea-scapes into downtown La Jolla for a golden hour shoot with Adam (SD and SoCal ladies, look him up!) followed by a relaxed al fresco coffee sesh along the bustling main street to wait for the sunset. As I walked along the flower lined streets full of boutiques and bakeries, looking up occasionally to rows of sun-drenched palm trees and a clear sky, I was reminded of all the things I missed about SoCal! As Peaches & Herbs would accurately describe it, I was "reunited and it feels so good"! :)

For a warm day with some evening chill, I wore this no-fuss floral maxi dress in the prettiest color palette and and.. it has pockets (always a win!)! I threw on a basic chambray shirt when it got a little too cold for bare shoulders, and added some 70's flare with a tie-up wrap choker and retro sunnies. Nothing like some boho downtown chic to get in that ever famous SoCal chill zone, no? :)

Thank you for reading and have a wonderful weekend!
XO Sushmitha :)
