Watercolor Skirt

And so it is that the first week of summer comes to a close. Where does the time go?! Between maximizing productivity in the lab while my spirits are at their yearly high and making the most of the sunshine, this week has had me wishing there were 24 times 10 hours in a day! But as the saying goes, a girl's gotta make hay while the sun shines, which means plenty of patio parties and outfit changes, of course. ;) K and I are lucky enough to currently live in a house with a nice and spacious yard, so we've been seizing every opportunity to get dressed up (and by that, I mean I seize every opportunity to....) and have private picnics in the evening light. It was on one such evening that I spotted a white carpet of catalpa tree flowers lining our neighbor's home, so a blog shoot was in order without a doubt!

Put all of my favorite summer brights together in a chic pairing of comfy separates, and that's my go-to on warm and sunny summer days. I adore the abstract watercolor florals on this asymmetric mini skirt! A certain favored cobalt blue blouse won the lucky draw this time, but I'll surely be wearing the skirt with a flirty pink blouse, a cool chambray shirt, a chic white crop top or even a contrasting pinstriped shirt in the months to come.

Thank you for reading and have a fabulous weekend!
XO Sushmitha :)
