Tie Dye Maxi Dress
/Hello and to those of you in the same half of the world as me, happy summer! Now that the calendar finally agrees with what's recently been the state of my mind, it's time to laugh that evil laugh and rub those hands together in delightful glee to milk the season for all it's worth, am I right?! The first step in that direction has been to haul home the largest watermelon I could get my hands on, but brushing up on my casual summer style has come a close second. Enter maxi dresses and braids.
I'm a fan of any outfit that gets me out the door as quickly as possible, and maxi dresses have always been at the top of that love list. Especially if it's one that makes the retro rage that's tie dye trendy! I love the mash-up of tie dye, stripes and a subtle ombre in this tank maxi.. #winningmeover !
If you've been following along for a while, you'll have noticed that I don't often play with my hair, a little due to time constraints and a lot due to an absolute lack of motivation to stare at the mirror more than I must! But with the temperatures rising pretty steadily, the days when I need my hair to be up and out of my face have grown frequent. After a lazy morning in over the past weekend, I summoned all of my will power and clicked my over to this tutorial on the braid maze that's Barefoot Blonde and braided myself a slightly messy version of the dutch turned fishtail braid. You like? :)
