Suede Skirt

Few things in the world make me more happy than a rare work-free Saturday or Sunday when neither K or I are spending more time than is considered fair in our respective labs. Combine said day with perfect fall weather and a gorgeous farm estate to wander in with coffee in hand, and I'm positively in heaven! As you can probably tell from the color of the trees around (and my bare legs!), we shot these photos earlier in the season when the colors were just barely showing and life without a coat existed. Post farmer's market and brunch in East Aurora, we strolled through Knox Farms and took in as much of the brisk air and the old red barns as we could. I wore this no-brainer of an outfit- a universally flattering A-line suede mini skirt + a whimsical clock print blouse. The suede skirt has been deemed as the 'it skirt' of the season, so if you're in the market for one, this cognac faux-suede number (linked below) is easy on the eyes and wallet! Me being top contender for world's biggest sucker for whimsical prints, this fun blouse was a mindless pick when shopping in the street markets of Bangalore on my last trip home.. Aren't such quirky unexpected finds the best?! I love how this look is one part trendy and one part timeless.. just how I like it. :)

Thank you for reading and have a fabulous weekend!
XO Sushmitha :)
