Spring Florals
/So I'm back with my rebellious, weather-defying, Superwoman antics today, wearing the Spring-iest of all Spring dresses when it's very visibly still winter. By now, I don't think much of people giving me wide-eyed stares when they see me dressed for seasons yet to arrive, but I think I've now developed a neighborhood reputation, because I honestly saw a kid stop walking just to point a finger and whisper to an apologetic-looking dad. I'd like to think the whispers were about the awesome badass she just saw, but we'll leave the speculation at that, shall we? #wishfulthinking But can you really blame me? There's only so long one can wait to wear a dress as adorable as this one!
After last week's moody take on transitional florals, I'm bringing you a more romantic and upbeat version of it today, featuring this perfect Spring dress from Broke Girl Style (Use code MMS20 to get 20% off on their super trendy and affordable collection! Valid until 4/30/2015). I paired the feminine cut of the dress with a structured blazer.. If you are still experiencing chilly weather like me or are simply more comfortable in modest looks, layering can be your best friend when wearing more daring cuts and silhouttes. While I personally love the peekaboo effect of a sweetheart necklace within a tailored piece of outerwear, the dress could be worn over a crisp collared shirt for a chic yet covered up look.
How darling are these cabochon earrings from Lydell NYC?! I went with this super easy braid flower hairdo (tutorial here) in keeping with the romantic feminine vibes.. what do you think? :)
That's it for today, folks! Will you be wearing florals this Easter? :)
Thank you for reading, and have a great week!
XO Sushmitha :)
