Sneaky Valentine with Skechers
/Hello, hellooooo! It's been quiet around here for a bit as I took a wonderful break from work, blogging and life in general this past week to travel to and roadtrip around the beautiful Caribbean island of Puerto Rico. I'm happy to report that the people, food and beauty of the places we visited far exceeded our expectations and living on island time for a week seems to have forever ruined us for the seemingly 'normal' life we've returned to! More about everything we saw and ate and did in the weeks to come, because there are seriously a bazillion photos and so many fun vacation looks that I can't wait to share with you guys! :)
In today's post, though, I'm super excited to partner with Skechers on a Valentine's Day look featuring their brand new line of feminine floral sneakers. Y'all know that I'm not shy when it comes to getting my shoe glam on, but real talk.. 1) February's black ice and heels don't get along , 2) It's rude to make your Valentine walk at a heels-induced snail pace in the cold for the sake of vanity (even if that happens to be your husband! ;)) and 3) Those chocolates I'll be lovingly fed on said special day will require some subsequent self-loving gym action. Boom! I rest my case.
This look is composed entirely of old pieces that I've worn and re-worn over the years. If you can't tell, I'm actually wearing a knit wrap crop top over a bodycon white dress.. I've always loved wearing this particular combination as it almost looks like a 'faux' sweater dress! I added some girly pops of pink and rose gold to balance the sporty shoes, albeit the girliest prettiest pair of sporty shoes there ever was. ;)
