Royal Bluems
/After months of planning (and a lot of wishing and wanting), I am so excited that my little blog is live! Forgive me if this first blog post is slightly less coherent due to the nervous + excited + happy child that I am right now.
Right in keeping with my dreamy state of mind, this royal blue midi skirt folds and moves delightfully. I wore it in early spring with some layers, but couldn't resist pairing it with stripes for a simple yet sophisticated summer look. Midi skirts are all the rage this season, and if you're on the fence about this retro trend, a five-footer like myself wearing one should be proof enough that it can work on you.
As a constant wanderer into the Kids' sections in the search for petite clothing, I'm guilty of having bought this darling ruffled sleeve striped top on JustFab's kids' clothing line, Fabkids, several months ago. In chorus with all my fellow blogger beauties, I have to say that stripes are so, so versatile, whether dressed up with a statement necklace like in my look, dressed down for casual wear or mixed with other prints for the more adventurous.
I wore this look to a little picnic party in the park over the long weekend, and we just had to stop for pictures amongst these gorgeous rose shrubs right in the golden evening sunlight! Ohhh summer, if only you would stay forever.
