Pom pom trim is the bomb dot com, Y'all. It is to me what a yarn of wool is to a cat.. an ever amusing source of (fashion) fun! It has made its appearance on all types of summer clothing this season in a big way and I cannot get enough. Enter this adorable pair of soft shorts I snagged on sale at Wet Seal recently for under $10. Affordable, printed, comfy and pom pom trimmed? Yes, please.
- Point penny-wise: If, like me, fast fashion is not one of your investment priorities, online as well as in-store sales at Wet Seal are great. Sale and clearance items are usually still on-trend, and while the 'Last Chance' sales can be hit or miss, they have many a times made me feel like THE most gifted shopper on the planet.
The woodblock print on the shorts has the unusual color mix of pink and mint, and I chose to play with both in this outfit, pairing the shorts with a deep berry pink ruffle necked top and a mint tasseled cross-body bag. If you are not one for colors and print like in my outfit, printed shorts will look just as good worn casually with one neutral color, such as a black tank or a white tee.
