Retro Glam with eShakti
/Top of the morning to you all from the chilly Capital! As you read this, I'm in Washington, D.C. and enjoying a day of friends, food and fun before a week of serious work starting tomorrow. D.C.'s gotta be my favorite city on the east coast after New York City.. there's just so much to do and although this isn't my first time visiting, I have such a long list of places to see and foods to try! Also, my weather forecast said our good friend, the Polar Vortex, is visiting Buffalo this weekend, so any reason to get away is good. ;) The gloating is now moot though, because I got out of the pan and.. um, still in the pan, because it's freezing cold here! Brrr.
So while what I'm really wearing today is all eskimo and couldn't be further from this post's outfit, I'm so excited to share eShakti with all you lovelies today. In the day and age of mass production, eShakti offers the rare service of customized shopping, allowing the customer to style and size any piece in the collection to their taste and fit at very affordable prices. Being petite and penny-wise, you can imagine my delight when I was asked to try out their service! The experience is very similar to going to a tailor at a boutique.. Once you pick an item, a step-wise guide takes you through sizing (you can opt for standard sizes, or custom fit the item by providing measurements for an extra cost of $7.50) and style (for details such as sleeves, length, neck and pockets). Having tested and tried eShakti's online personalized service, I can safely say that I am very happy with the result! If you have problems finding a true fit in your clothing like me, eShakti is definitely for you. :)
I chose to style this cobalt blue dress for all it's adorable details.. the scalloped neck, the tulip skirt, the pockets.. I die. And with eShakti's custom sizing, this dress is going to be in heavy rotation through the seasons to come. It's the perfect alternative to all the red, black and gold at those upcoming holiday parties! One look and I immediately envisioned a retro glam look.. I couldn't wait to break out my faux-fur cape and this was the perfect opportunity. :) Can't go wrong with some old-worldly red lip + faux fur charm, really! I know it's early, but I hope this serves as a bit of early inspiration for those holiday parties at the office. :)
eShakti is offering Miss Minus Sized readers an exclusive 10% off with the coupon code 'missminussized', valid until 12/12/2014. While the code cannot be used on sale/clearance items, it can be combined with their introductory offer of $30 off of your order. Also, first time shoppers can custom size for free! (There's also a site-wide sale for 40% off going on right now for those interested.) Enough reasons to check them out, no? :)
Thank you for reading, and have a great weekend!
