Cherry Picking in Brentwood, CA: Bell-sleeved Blouse + Embroidered Jeans
/Happy Friday, my peeps! A quick hello on this beautiful summer Friday to share some snaps from when we went on a cherry and peach picking excursion to Brentwood. We knew we had to plan this fun day out when the biggest fruit lover of our family- my mom -was in town, so we did our research, picked out our farms and head out on one of the days during my parents' graduation visit. If you're interested in berry picking (+ peaches, plums and so.), Brentwood is a great escape into farmland. There are countless farms to pick from, just make sure to call ahead so they're open on the day of. If you do make the drive from or through San Francisco, make sure to plan for a pitstop at Concord. We unknowingly made a stop in need of coffee and were so charmed, especially by an unusual festive farmers market on a weekday!
I wore this easy breezy blouse and jeans combo, which effortlessly shows off several of the season's key trends- statement sleeves, the color pink, embroidered denim. I've been trying to refresh my sunglasses collection with some statement pairs, and had to snag this rose gold pair when I saw it on the streets of NYC. Admittedly, it's not the kind of dubious fast fashion I like to promote, but until life hands me enough cherries to afford the original design of the cult fave Gentle Monster x Song of Style collab, it will have to do!
Thank you for reading and have a fabulous weekend!
XO Sushmitha :)
