Spring Transition Style: Trench Coat + Lace-Up Bodysuit
/With the Spring equinox being just around the corner and the weather in Buffalo having been delightfully mild, it's been a breeze to get dressed the past few weeks in light layers! I rely on my arsenal of sweaters and cardigans to make up these layers on a daily basis, but upon finding myself longing for something a little extra fun beyond the basics one recent weekend, I couldn't resist reaching for this blush pink lace-up bodysuit (random giveaway win.. woot! ;)). The outfit then kind of built itself from there.. high-waisted jeans because bodysuit, a second layer of blush pink in faux-fur for a little warmth and a trusty trench coat for those fickle showers.. done and done!
A classic trench coat has been on my wishlist for a long time now and fellow petites may agree that it's hard to find a budget-friendly trench coat with all the classic details (I wanted shoulder and sleeve epaulets and tortoise-shell buttons) that fits just right. Of course, Burberry would be the solution to all of my problems, but to cross over into window-shopping territory with any real money would be blasphemy, so forget that, Pssh. ;) My search had recently gotten intense, what with K doing some class A research for me on his recent work trip to trench-coat-city London and everything, but thank goodness I waited it out for this find- It's under <$25, is of good weight and has all details reminiscent of the classic Burberry one! #winning
Oh and how about these milkmaid braids I tried for the very first time?? Yay or nay? :)
Thank you for reading and have a wonderful week ahead!
