Weekend Getaway: Little River Inn, Mendocino
/A few weeks ago, Kushal and I had the pleasure to taking a little weekend trip to the heart of the rustic NorCal coastline for a stay at the gorgeous Little River Inn in Mendocino. Having done my prior due diligence on the good ol' inter-web, I knew we'd be treated to vistas of the endless Pacific while in the lap of luxury, but we were truly blown away in person and can hardly wait to make a trip back!
Mendocino is a rough 3.5 hour drive from San Francisco and provided you're equipped for the winding roads that take you to the cliff-top Inn, the route itself is a beautiful succession of wine country, redwood forests and coastal highways. We arrived at Little River Inn just around lunchtime and because a dinner reservation was already made at the restaurant at the Inn, we found ourselves a window table with seafront views at the well reviewed Wild Fish- a short walk across from the property. Bellies happily full and legs stretched, we spent the afternoon exploring the expansive property, some snapshots from which I'm sharing in this blog post. :)
At the center of Little River Inn is a Victorian mansion that houses the offices, restaurant and several ocean view rooms. The 1850s structure is not only beautiful on the outside but is full of adorable vintage vibes on the inside, my favorite space being the piano room! One look at that floral wallpaper and antique mirror combo (photo below), and I literally wanted to move in!! Around this building is ~220 acres of wooded property that offers something for everyone- spacious oceanview rooms and luxury cabins to relax in, a day spa with a whole range of indulgent services, a nine-hole golf course for those inclined and for nature buffs like ourselves, tons of hiking trails and walkways leading down to the beach. :) Stay tuned for a second post early next week in which I'll be sharing specific highlights of our stay!
For this relaxed first day at the Inn with nothing but the taking in of Mendocino's views on our agenda, I slipped on this summery cold shoulder maxi dress by Rokoko. Even on my petite frame, I love how flattering the ruffle sleeve details, the cinched waist and split leg hem are!
This stay was graciously sponsored by Little River Inn, but all thoughts and opinions are my own.
Thank you for reading and have a great weekend!
