Très Cool
/Added to all of the ghastly things that are currently happening in the world (such as war, you guys. In 2014.) is the fact that Fall seems to have taken the fastest plane there is to arrive a month early here in Buffalo. Its been so chilly and rainy here lately that I most definitely have developed frown lines. Not to forget the intense scorned lover type feelings from the sudden taking off of summer. But, but, but.. it did give me a reason to bring out a pair of printed pants that I'm particularly fond of. And that has put a stop to the whining. For the time being, at the least. ;)
Just as promised in my first summer pants post, I'm talking about Fancy Pants Version 2 today: Printed pants. The idea of anything but the non-existent print of good ol' denim would have received a dismissive head nod from me until about two years ago, when pants of all prints and patterns made their foray onto the style scene. Now, I'm a firm believer that a pair of fun printed pants are a closet staple, as they're most often versatile enough for all seasons. There's something for everyone, be it florals for the feminine, lines or dots for the simple, abstract prints for the free-spirited or even mixed prints for the adventurous. The key is to keep the remaining pieces in the outfit simple and relaxed while letting the print on the pants do the talking. I love the windowpane print on the pants I'm wearing.. Its such a sophisticated take on the usual checked pattern and allows just enough room to play with the rest of the look.
The pairing of a well structured piece with a relaxed one always makes for such an effortlessly chic look. Pardon my french, but it makes one look très cool, no? :) Graphic tees make for great, easy pieces in such pairings. I know for sure that I'm going to be wearing mine on repeat!
Lesson for today? Rain or shine, hot or not, there's always some fun fashion to count on! Take that, cloudy sky!
Have you found a printed pair of pants you love? How do you like to wear yours? :) Leave me a comment below!
Thank you for reading and have an awesome weekend!
