Trapeze LWD

Three cheers to the long weekend.. Hip, hip, hooray!! To those traveling to celebrate with family and friends or simply on vacation, safe travels! If you're simply using the weekend to unwind or are outside of the U.S. facing a regular old weekend, consider me as part of your club, because I'll be PhD-ing away just like always with maybe some extra guac in my Chipotle if I feel too sorry for myself. Now's when you ask me to stop being a whiny baby and get out to go do something, because this perfectly pretty 4th outfit I'm flaunting in today's post ain't waiting around for no-one. Am I putting words in your mouth yet? ;)

Earlier in the week in this post, I shared a casual red, white and blue look for this weekend's laid-back festivities. Today, I'm sharing a slightly more dressy, part retro and part mod look that would be perfect if you're hosting or are headed to a red, white and blue soiree! Notice how they're both all white outfits with red and blue accessories? White's my weakness this season, y'all, and i'm #sorrynotsorry ! Joining my little white dress collection is this adorable lace trapeze dress by Zoa.. I seriously couldn't stop twirling and waltzing around because it moves like a dream! I honestly don't know why it's taken me this long to try out the trapeze silhouette.. it's flattering on every body type and can easily be made trans-seasonally versatile with the addition of tights, belts and layers. I accessorized with playful and feminine accessories, mixing prints in bold red and blue hues, and finished off with delicate gold hand jewelry.

Thank you for reading, and happy long (or not!) weekend!
XO Sushmitha :)
