The Two Tone Coat
/Happy March and Monday, my friends! I hope you had an enjoyable weekend doing weekend things. I myself, for lack of a more specific term, am a bit of a weirdo about weekends.. I'm often torn between having a 'weekend' weekend, full of naps and movie marathons on the couch because the week was so exhausting, or a 'weekend, baby!' weekend, with brunch and lunch and dinner and several coffee dates in between and oh, some shopping thrown in for good measure, because the week was all work and very boring and we deserve to have fun. You know what I mean?? Well, this past weekend was a rare balance of both kinds of weekends.. and now it's been recorded in my digital diary, so that's done. #toldyaimweird
Today's look is part Parisian chic, part menswear inspired and part leopard-print-obsession-continues. But at the center of it all is this print-blocked, two tone statement coat from A.T. Avenue that currently has my heart (make sure to scroll down for a special discount code!). A statement coat is a timeless winter essential, but the neck lapel on this one also makes it a longline blazer, which has been deemed a wardrobe staple this season.. add the standout print blocking, and this one's a winner for sure! I went classic with the color scheme as well as the pattern mix, adding in a bit of the hugely popular menswear-inspired trend with the high-waisted, wide legged trousers. Fellow petites, I highly recommend this pant style for it's instant leg lengthening and waist slimming effects!
Can't get enough of floppy hats this winter, and this From Dylan black one goes with everything! I always feel so Parisian and très chic in hats and stripes.. don't you? :)
So I have to tell you guys about D'Andrea, a quality leather handbag collection that's expanded into jewelry that's just as gorgeous as their bags. But more importantly, it's handmade, which meant that as a petite shopper frustrated with never finding hand jewelry that's small enough for my wrists, I could have my 'Mister' bracelets custom made for my abnormally tiny wrists! Because I knew you lovelies would appreciate this as much as I did, D'Andrea is offering petite sizing of any bracelet and a 25% discount on any order, when you use the code '#MinusSizedMisterLove'. I'll also be giving away a D'Andrea bracelet of your choice on Instagram later today, so be sure to stop by and enter! :)
Before I say au revoir, here's another treat for your Monday blues: use code 'thefabsush' to get 20% off on your order at A.T. Avenue! (Valid until March 12th only!)
Thank you for reading, and until next time, have a great weekend!
XO Sushmitha :)
