Stripes & Slits

It's 11.30 pm as I write this at the end of an insanely busy Monday and I went from straight-backed to fully stretched and reclining in the time that my computer got out of hibernation mode, so you kind souls will have to excuse my rather succint howdy this morning. I love a good maxi dress as much as the next girl, but if I'm going to be covered in fabric neck to toe when it's 80 degrees out, there needs to be some breathing room.. I mean, help a gal out here! If this casual number I wore out to brunch this past weekend hadn't already been thoughtfully designed to have nice and high side slits, I may very well have taken the scissors up myself for some DIY handiwork! But that disaster's been averted, because this Design History dress is as comfy as can be! I employed some of my trustiest lazy girl tricks to avert a different disaster (Hangry me is nasty me, FYI.).. reflective aviators to cover up groggy Sunday-ze eyes, and a fail-proof denim vest because.. well, it makes everything it touches cool, doesn't it? :)

Thank you for reading, and have a good week!
XO Sushmitha :)
