Sporty Chic: Embellished Blouse + Distressed Denim

Happy Friday, everyone! Is it just me or does everyone wish time would freeze and stand still right about now?? Maybe I just love the joy & cheer too much this time of year or maybe it’s because I’m watching the prettiest sunset on a beach in Goa as I write this, but I could stay in this moment for a while longer. It’s been a busy vacation here in India until now catching up with my relatively large family and friends, so I’m thankful for this little beach getaway with my parents and sister to relax and soak up some sun on the sand before I head back to cold, cold Buffalo soon. *Erasing that thought off of my mind, stat.* Stay tuned for some fun beach vacation outfits coming to the blog soon!
I’ve mostly been dressing casually while getting around town in Bangalore, but haven’t been able to resist incorporating elements of holiday cheer into my outfits. I wore this casual look recently to run errands (read as inexpensive, amazing tailors for alterations. #petiteproblems) and love the understated elegance of this simply embellished silk blouse. Rhinestones and beads on burgundy silk… what’s not to love?! I went all sporty chic with this outfit with distressed denim, an oversized cardigan, backpack and glitter converse, but a blouse such as this one would pair perfectly with pencil skirts or fitted trousers for those office Christmas parties.
Although comfort takes precedence over trends in my books, I must mention that embellished everything and sporty chic are two of this season’s hottest trends! This outfit hits two birds with one stone, no? :)
