New Year's Eve Outfit 1: Simple Glam
/What does one do to rescue one's own self from that oh-so-depressing, post-Christmas vacation phase when the weight gain and going back to work make life seem the bleakest? Plan new year's eve outfits, of course! I showcased two looks last week (here and here) as Christmas outfits, both of which could very well double for NYE festivities. But I'm excited to bring you two other looks this week that are slighty more fitting to the perfectly trendy party you're planning to throw or attend this week.
The first of the two party perfect looks involves this subtly sophisticated dress that's business in the front and very party in the back, if you know what I mean. ;) Modesty in dressing has almost become a necessity since moving to cold Buffalo a few years ago, but if there's one occasion when sexy trumps shivers, it's new year's eve! I love myself some classy risqué fashion once in a while to embrace, flaunt, express confidence and all that, and this ivory/nude number fit the bill just right this year. Unfortunately, daylight does not do the dress enough justice.. the textured and self-colored animal print, the subtlest spattering of gold and silver glitter and the draped backless silhouette all had me in love at first sight!
I wore no jewelry with the dress for a clean and classy look, complemented only by minimal red accessories. Would you wear this look differently? :)
Stay tuned for more NYE outfit inspiration on the blog soon!
Have a great week, and thank you for reading!
