Normally, I would have a long, fairly verbose virtual conversation with you about the weekend and such, but on this Monday, my chatting skills are no bueno, you guys. Trip Advisor and to-do lists are dominating my life right now, because underneath my cool exterior and poised side-ward glances in today's post, there is a volcano of bubbling excitement waiting for Friday, when Kushal and I are off on vacation to Peru! I have to admit that the destination of our choice is equally exciting and daunting (think hiking up to Machu Picchu and exploring the Amazon Basin!). But despite the temptation of a restful beach vacation, there's no time like now for the fit and restless to have those adventures, right? :) Not sure how much fashion I can serve you with on this particular vacation, but make sure you follow along on my Instagram for a peek into our South American journey! 

Bringing burgundy back in today's post with a mix of sleek, tailored pieces and a little print-on-print action. A fitted pencil skirt is one of my favorite pieces of clothing due to it's versatility for both work and play, and it took one look at this two-toned, mixed media Moddeals skirt for me to add it to my collection! While it's definitely more suitable for play than work, I love how the thigh slit and the leather paneling subtly up the glam quotient. For a playful daytime look, I paired it with a silky floral tank and a striped, cropped blazer.. but I'm eagerly waiting for summer when I can wear it with a simple black blouse and some gold accessories for the perfect date night outfit.
