Overalls & Wildflowers: Letchworth State Park, NY

Happy summer, officially, my friends! What better way to celebrate the sunshine that lies ahead than an image-heavy recap of a recent summery Spring day trip, right? Happiness begets happiness.. or in this case, spring happiness begets summer happiness. ;)

For those not familiar with the hidden treasures of Upstate New York, Letchworth State Park is home to a triumvirate of majestic waterfalls nestled amidst rocky gorges, resulting in some stunning viewpoints throughout the park enjoyed by hikers and picnic-ers alike and giving it the title of 'Grand Canyon of the East'. As part of the latter group, Kushal and I picked a shady spot under a tree for brunch with the fam, followed by an afternoon of waterfalls- and people-watching and to my unexpected delight, frolicking in field upon field of blooming Spring flowers!

Picnics are nothing to me if not punctuated with cross-legged laughing and conversations while stretched on the stomach, so a pair of comfy overalls were just the right pick for the day! These light gauzy cotton ones from Billabong are perfect for the hot and humid summer ahead, be it as a cover-up over your favorite suit at the beach or with your favorite tee and boater hat as I did. :)

Thank you for reading and have a great first week of summer ahead!
XO Sushmitha :)
