And before we know it, it's that time of the year again! Holiday card writing, Christmas tree picking, delicious smells around the house that can only mean baking and once that's all done, lots of hot cocoa + fuzzy socks + old music records around the lit tree. Doesn't that all sound just wonderful?! But it should come as no surprise that my personal favorite things about the holiday season is dressing up! Even in Buffalo where anything but a North Face jacket draws incredulous stares from people, colorful and sparkly outfits suddenly become acceptable in December. Since I'm in warm India this year, I thought I'd take advantage of being able to go out sans coat to share with you some holiday themed looks through the month. Needless to say, I'll be going back to all the snow in a few weeks and repeating these outfits with twenty more layers on top, so please feel free to draw inspiration and improvise as dictated by weather/occasion.

To kick things off with a bang, I'm styling my current favorite dressy piece in my closet: this Lulu's jumpsuit in a rich magenta pink that's perfect for any holiday party this season. Jumpsuits are a lazy girl's best friend, having the power to class up anybody that has two minutes to spare. Other than being moderately nimble to handle the restroom acrobatics, the jumpsuit is easy to style and can suit all body types if the right fit is found.

I had been on the search for a well fitted jumpsuit for dressier occasions for a while when I found this pretty number on the Lulu's website. The fitted bustier style top in combination with the tapered pants creates an almost formal look that can be either dressed up or down, and the bow-cinched waist accentuates the petite frame just the right amount. The berry pink looks so great on all skin tones too! I went the simple and classy way with styling the jumpsuit. When in doubt, statement accessories and black heels for the win! I can see this look being a winner at holiday office parties, special date nights and celebrations with friends alike.
