Layered In Pink
/It's the first weekend since having started work after my very long vacation, and I gotta tell ya, I'm pretty excited about it! As much as I love what I do, the simultaneous sounding of my alarm and the sight of my backyard blizzard does nothing for my desire to work hard. So shutting off that alarm tomorrow morning is going to be blissful, to say the least. But seriously, can life be a little more fair to us poor souls in the North East?! It's blowing snow like nobody's business, and I'm sure I'm not the only one complaining! For starters, Kushal's definitely not happy with his photographer duties having turned into a freeze fest. ;) So in light of the above mentioned weather worries, I'm giving us a break and sharing my Goan beach vacation outfits in the days to come, but only after a good dose of winter fashion in today's post!
I've said before that layering is key (other than being a necessity!) to looking chic in the cold, so I want to share one of my favorite layering tricks with you lovelies today.
We've all known an ill-fitting sweater in our lives, Yes? Especially us petites, what with every sweater being too long or too wide or too something else. I know, it sucks. But there's hope for every one of them in the layering department.. all you have to do is stack them up nicely! I kid you not, the pink sweater I'm wearing looks frumpy and bunched up and twice the size as a Small should be, when worn by itself. I layered it over a sweater dress, and I suddenly don't dislike it as much! With the scarf and tights adding pops of print and varying shades of pick adding interest, I quite like this outfit for a cozy brunch date on a cold winter day! What do you think? :)
Stay tuned for some fun tropical vacation looks next week!
Have a great weekend, and thank you for reading!
XO Sushmitha :)
