Heart On My Sleeve

You know it's bad when the world's tallest snowbanks force blog photoshoots into dark subway stations. There's literally nowhere to shoot, you guys, so please bear with me for the next few weeks as we try our best to be creative in using indoor spaces and navigate the complex world of severe light challenges! I'm going to get sappy for just a second here, because my patient boy who smilingly deals with my fashion blogger demands even in this frigid cold deserves it.. I love you, K!

All this PDA is almost fitting today, because it's Valentine's Week here on the blog! The day of love conveniently falls on a Saturday this year, which gives me all week to help you plan your V-Day outfit! In the first of two love-themed posts, I'm going back to basics in a casual yet cute outfit that's perfect for those among of you that prefer easy over dressy. An all black ensemble is a go-to for me on lazy days, and simple variants such as a turtleneck and ripped denim can elevate an otherwise plain look. But what makes this a Valentine's day look is possibly the most adorable sweater ever from Sincerely Sweet Boutique! I mean.. raised, 3D hand-stitched hearts in candy colors?! Talk about wearing my heart on my sleeve! ;) Use code "SWTVALENTINE" to get 15% off on your order. :)

You need no telling on my recent obsession with delicate layered jewelry, do you? This layered necklace from Urban Peach Boutique only just arrived, and is already such a staple! Check out their website ASAP.. they currently have all of their necklaces on sale for $5! #score

Would you wear this look on Saturday? I'd love to hear your fun V Day plans! :)

Thank you for reading, and have a great week ahead!

XO Sushmitha :)
