Grid Print Shirtdress

Happy almost Halloween to those celebrating! While I'm not a huge fan of the spooky and scary myself, I do look forward to spending a good chunk of my Saturday ooh-ing and ahh-ing at all the creative sorts' fun costumes on social media and the internet. K and I have decided, though, that it's time we picked out some classic Halloween movies to watch.. I, of course, have Hocus Focus at the top of my list! #SJPfangirl If any of you have movie suggestions, you must let me know in a comment below. :)

Today's outfit features a classic shirtdress with a few updates- a grid print that's so now and a waist tie/skinny scarf/necktie that I fashioned into a bow tie at the collar. Shirtdresses score high on my versatility test- wear it as a layer under sweaters and coats (like I did here), open as a maxi shirt over a basic tee and jeans/shorts combo or as is- each option offers endless outfits! I went the simple route earlier this season when we shot these photos, but in the chilly months to come, I'll be adding tights, knits and floppy hats aplenty to the same basic look.

Thank you for reading and have a great week ahead! To those who celebrate, Happy Halloween again!
XO Sushmitha :)
