Gingham Wrap Top: Pacifica, California
/I did it, y'all! I wrote a blog post. After a brief blogging hiatus that really feels like forever, I logged on here tonight to force my dominant control freak left brain from pulling a Road Runner on the other half. **Meep, meep!** I can feel sanity seeping back into life even as I type this for your friendly faces to read, so cheers to thatttt (and Tacos, obvs.) on this chilly Tuesday!
So you guys, I saw this top on every street style star and it girl out there and still ended up getting it. Typically, I have a if-everyone's-wearing-it-I'm-out rule for these super popular pieces.. if you see it enough on other people, you get over it, y'know? But this shirt popped up again and again and again on my Instagram, and I kept waiting for the magic to fade and it never did. Not sure if it's the gingham print or the fun bowknot wrap front or the billow sleeve or all of it together, but cue the violin music and call me smitten! I took some east coast winter staples like my trusty white denim and my used and abused over-the-knee boots to California when I last visited over Christmas break, so I threw this look together quickly one evening for a golden hour beach-side stroll. Needless to say, Starbucks' festive red cups were in order even as K and I promised ourselves an evening back in the summer. :)
