And before we knew it, it was Christmas Eve! I hope that all of you good people are enjoying this lovely and festive time of year with your favorite people, food and fun! As much as I complain about the hassles of snow and a true Northeast winter, El Niño has guaranteed a snow-less Christmas this year and I'm still trying to grapple with my confused feelings on that. Yes, it is totally awesome that I can ditch the car and carry out by foot my annual stalker-ish tradition of window-peeping into every single home in the neighborhood for a glimpse of their Christmas tree, but I also want to sleepily peep through my own window Friday morning and find a soft and pretty white sheet to then later on draw hearts in and throw in K's face and such. Oh well, such is life, eh? ;) A lot less confusing was my outfit choice for this week's second Christmasy look, possible my favorite of all the festive looks I've ever worn on here. :)

It's really quite unsurprising, considering my love for juxtaposing contrasting pieces, but even so, this festive combination of a casual flannel shirt and a dressy, feminine metallic gold pleated midi skirt feels so fresh! It's a look you can wear unapologetically during the holiday season, but it's such a classic pairing that it will really work for any occasion much after. I have to mention how much more gorgeous this layered gold necklace by Carolee is in person.. it adds the perfect amount of subtle bling to any look and it's been my recent go-to for any and every outfit!
