Cozy Chic: Duster Cardigan + Statement Necklace

This may just be one of the last of them bare-legged photos, my peeps. The weather forecast says it feels like minus something or the other ( 'cos honestly, who cares what comes after that minus, anyway.) more often than I like lately, and hypothermia is not even slightly chic, so modesty in the form of fleece-lined everything for the win henceforth! Also, I'm setting the precedent for the coffee cup as a photo prop from this post on! Hi. My name is Sushmitha, and I'm a hot beverage addict for the rest of this season.

 Today's outfit represents my favorite combination this time of the year.. simple, cozy knits and statement jewellery. There's nothing like a chunky cable-knit for comfort and warmth. Add a bit of bling to that, and what's ordinary now becomes special! Long duster cardigans and vests are having a moment just about now, and I absolutely love what the unconventional longer length does to the petite frame! While maxi lengths are very chic as well, I personally prefer the length to hit right above my knee (as the one I'm wearing does), as it creates the illusion of longer legs, just as dresses or skirts at that length do.

I love that I could match the emerald green stone at the center of the piece to the cardigan, while the pretty pastels and brights add just the right amount of color to the outfit.
